Did you take anything for depression when going thru your divorce? I try to go the natural route (meditating, exercise, enough sleep, I don’t drink alcohol ) but lately it’s been hard…

Hi, I did not get divorced, but I do have few thoughts on depression. First, don't panic about it. It is a horrible feeling, yes, but know that the feelings fluctuate.
I do think it is sometimes good to use medication, but it is nice if you can work on the natural things concurrently.
I have found lately, when I get depressed, I love reading and praying through the Psalms. Given God wrote the Bible through people, I know God has soft heart for those who are depressed and hurting, and He hears when they cry to Him. He cares.
Talk to people. Do good to others. Wait on God. 🙏

I did get on an anti depressant for about a year going through my divorce. If you can do it with natural remedies that's awesome, but if you can't or are still struggling absolutely talk to your doc about getting on meds. For me they didn't take away the heavy feelings, but instead just made it easier to bear them and power through.
