I apologize to all. I should not have brought religion into the conversation against the rules of SI. I was merely trying to show that in ancient times adulterers were dealt with very serious punishment consequences... the comparison to the type of punishment consequences given to deserters during wartime in years past.

I am sorry and apologize to the moderators and other members on this board for not following the rules.
